District 13 OSSTF represents approximately 1600 permanent and 300 occasional teachers in Durham region.  Our union provides services to its members to protect them in their work and to enhance their professionalism through professional development workshops, health and safety training, collective agreement in-servicing and regular communications and public relations highlighting the teachers in our schools.

Teachers are reminded to calculate how many minutes of assigned duties they performed in Semester 1 and can now enter their planned assigned duties in Semester 2.  If the calculations show too many minutes worked, please discuss with your Administration or give us a call. The Assigned Duties Sheets can be found here.

Teachers are reminded to complete a Bill 157 - Safe Schools Incident Reporting Form if they become aware of any activity that a student may have engaged in that could lead to suspension or expulsion.
