Professional Development

To provide funding assistance (to a maximum of $100.00 per member per school year to be used towards registration fees only) to District 13 members for conferences, workshops or non-credit courses.  The deadline for submission of Funding Request Application Forms for this school year is June 13.

To organize meaningful professional development activities.

To co-ordinate and organize the District 13 PD Day.

Thank you to the many teachers and guest presenters who hosted PD sessions on November 18th.  There were many excellent workshops offered that day, by our members, for our members.

One per month at 4:15 pm at the District Office.

Meeting dates for 2011-2012 include: Sep.15, Oct.11, Nov.9, Nov.15, Dec.6, Jan.17, Feb.21, Apr.10, May 22, and June 14.

To attend the P.D. meetings once a month.

To distribute Funding Request Application Forms to those members needing financial assistance for P.D. activities.

To check and sign these Forms, ensure appropriate documentation and then forward them to the P.D. Chair.

To collect proof of attendance (receipt) from the applicants.

To distribute the cheques to the successful applicants once the Executive
has approved the requests.

To inform members of available professional development activities.

To avoid delays please be sure to submit ALL of the required information / documents when making a request for PD funding.
